ROGER EVANS
Hollywood Actor and Coach
Roger Evans is an experienced teacher an facilitator. He teaches and directs at Mountview Theatre Academy, Arts Educational and other established theatre academies. He is a graduate of the MA Actor Training programme at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and specialises in providing actors with the necessary tools to explore the work in a deep and meaningful way, while concentrating on, and prioritising, "Play" and the actors well being. Using the later work of Stanislavsky, elements of the work of Michael Chekhov and the
psychologist Mihaly Cziksentmihaly, his process encourages the actor to engage with their imagination and inviting them to exist in a state of “Flow”. While at the same time making interesting, imaginative, entertaining and informed choices.
Roger also trained as an actor, graduating from The Gulidhall School of Music and Drama. He has performed in theatres such as The Royal Court, The Globe, The Donmar Warehouse,The Almeida ,The Bush Theatre, The Gate, and theatres across the U.K., Europe and The United States. He has also performed extensively on film and television,
working with directors such as Joe Wright, Mike Leigh and David Yates.
